Enter Your Website URL
In the address bar of your web browser, type in the URL of your WordPress website. This is the web address where your site can be accessed by visitors. It typically starts with “http://” or “https://” followed by “www.yourwebsite.com.” Press “Enter” or click the “Go” button to access your website.
Access the WordPress Login Page
Once you’ve entered your website’s URL and pressed “Enter,” you will be taken to your website’s homepage. To access the login page, simply add “/wp-admin” to the end of your website’s URL. For example, if your website is “www.yourwebsite.com,” the login page URL will be “www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin.”
Enter Your Username and Password
On the WordPress login page, you will see two fields: one for your username and another for your password. Enter the credentials provided to you when your WordPress website was set up. Make sure to enter them correctly, as both usernames and passwords are case-sensitive. After entering your username and password, click the “Log In” button. WordPress will then verify your credentials.

Navigate to Your Dashboard
Upon successful login, you will be redirected to your WordPress dashboard. This is your website’s control center, where you can create and edit content, manage plugins and themes, and customize various settings. You’re now ready to start working on your website.
Optional: Remember Me
If you’re using a personal or secure computer, you can check the “Remember Me” box before clicking “Log In.” This will keep you logged in on that device, so you don’t have to enter your credentials every time you access your WordPress dashboard.

Logging Out
To log out of your WordPress account, click on your profile picture or username in the top right corner of the dashboard. A dropdown menu will appear, and you can select “Log Out” from the options. Always remember to log out, especially when using a shared or public computer, to maintain the security of your account.
Logging in to your WordPress account is a straightforward process that grants you access to your website’s backend. From here, you can manage your content, customize your site, and keep it running smoothly. If you ever forget your username or password, there are options to reset them through the “Lost your password?” link on the login page. Keep your login credentials secure and follow best practices to maintain the integrity of your WordPress account.
